Thoughtful planning, not a one-size-fits-all protocol

A paired approach to body texture

Stretch marks are a common form of skin texture change. At Total Body Aesthetic, treatment begins with an in-person evaluation of the area, skin tone, texture, history, and goals. When appropriate, our treatment of choice pairs Sylfirm X RF microneedling with ResurFX non-ablative fractional laser. The modalities can be planned to support complementary collagen-remodeling and texture goals; timing, settings, and whether both are used are individualized. Results vary, and no outcome can be guaranteed.

RF microneedling

Sylfirm X

Microneedling combined with radiofrequency energy is used in a customized plan to support dermal remodeling goals in suitable body areas. Treatment depth and approach are selected by the clinician.

Fractional laser

ResurFX

This non-ablative fractional laser creates controlled treatment zones to support skin-renewal and texture goals without removing the skin’s surface. Suitability and scheduling are assessed in person.

Your consultation

Planning around your skin

A clinician will review your goals, the treatment area, skin history, active irritation or infection, sun exposure, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, implanted devices, and medications. This visit determines candidacy and whether Sylfirm X, ResurFX, a staged combination, or another approach is appropriate.

Treatment + recovery

A topical comfort plan may be discussed. Sessions and spacing are individualized; a series may be recommended based on the treatment area and response.

Temporary warmth, redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness, or a rough texture can occur. Recovery and downtime vary with the modalities and settings used. Follow your clinician’s specific aftercare plan, including sun avoidance and guidance on heat, exercise, and skin products.

Patient education

Pre & Post Care

This general guidance does not replace the individualized instructions from your treating clinician. Your plan may differ based on the exact product, device settings, treatment area, and health history.

Important: This combined plan requires clinician-directed sequencing and aftercare; do not substitute instructions for either modality alone.

Before treatment

  • Tell your clinician about prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, supplements, allergies, pregnancy, and recent procedures. Do not stop a prescribed medicine unless the prescriber and treating clinician tell you to.
  • Tell the clinician about pregnancy, implanted electronic or metal devices, active rash or infection, poor wound healing, recent tanning or sunburn, cold sores, and recent procedures.
  • Follow the clinic's individualized instructions for sun exposure, retinoids, acids, exfoliants, vitamin C, hair removal, and other potentially irritating products.

After treatment

  • Use only clinician-approved gentle cleansing, moisturizer, sun protection, cooling, or wound care. Do not pick, scrub, or use unapproved products while treated skin recovers.
  • Avoid direct sun, excess heat, hot tubs, saunas, strenuous exercise, and irritating products until the clinician confirms it is appropriate for your combined plan.

Expected response

  • Temporary redness, warmth, tenderness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, dryness, roughness, flaking, or pigment darkening can occur. Recovery varies with the area, settings, and modalities used.

Call the office

  • Contact the office for increasing pain, blistering, open or weeping skin, spreading redness, drainage, fever, persistent bleeding, or an unexpected pigment change.
Get urgent help: Seek urgent care for trouble breathing, facial swelling, eye pain or vision change, or signs of a serious allergic reaction.
